THE BC OWNER REGISTRY 69-72
Some new & useful info about the registry:
I spend hours on the internet tracking down 124 coupes world wide. I have seen so many cars in forums, blogs and in for sale ads!. I find it hard to believe what is accounted for in registry indicates the true surviving coupes world wide. I predict there are at least easily a 1000 cars still alive not listed here or the Italian registry!

126 Coupes in Registry
Please assist us in registering all the surviving 124 Sport Coupes. By doing so allows us a better chance at preserving them through owner communication. If you know of any other Coupe owners, would you be kind enough to pass on the URL of the site. Please email coupes@fiat124sportcoupe.com the following information about your Coupe:
NEW FEATURE: Where you read “pictures” “video” or any word or phrase underlined within the registry, this is a hyperlink to view the various media content concerning that coupe.
PLEASE NOTE: In 1969 Fiat was still producing the AC when the new BC was introduced on the market. So for a 1969 year production coupe you will see both AC & BC in some countries. Going by the chassie numbers in the Italian coupe registry the 69 year production BC starts at around the 106000 and ends around the 113000 mark. The 70 year production number ends around the 140000 mark. 71 year production ends around the 183000 mark. 72 year production ends 205000. Untill I get documentation and true facts, the registry will stay this way "unofficial"
ANOTHER IMPORTANT NOTE: There are 42 BC coupes in the Italian registry that are not listed below

The lore is that this one was formerly a drug smuggler's car that was seized. At a time, it was full of about every FAZA part you could imagine for a 124. Presently, it's got a tired 1800 with hot cams, and a 34DMSA carb. It still has a header and rear anti-sway bar. FrankenCoupe, but fun to drive! |

Owner since 1985 with two restorations! I've installed a 2ltr,knife edge crank, balanced internals, lightened flywheel, high comp pistons,Abarth cams, highly modified head,Weber 48 IDF's,modified electronic ignition, new suspension bushings all around, and still has lower springs and Koni's. Of course it still has Abarth wheels,131 tranny and free flow exhaust. I don't know the final output,I gather she has aprox 180 HP more or less, but I will say the car is pretty fast, torquey and makes all the right sounds !! . I had the seats re apholstered back in 1986,,the top of the back seet has been eaten away by the sun. I am looking for mint condition black seats for the front and back. |

Overall, this car is very solid & sound - especially where it counts - but the smurf blue paint needs to be redone. The PO killed the 1608 with a botched engine rebuild, but the 1756 he had built is solid. Late TC style electronic ignition, and 65 amp Bosch alternator. Nice driver with suspension rebuilt in December 2002 - lowered w/ sport springs, Koni sport shocks, rear anti-sway bar, slotted front rotors, sport pads (oops, forgot the details on them, but it stops "real good"), Maserati 14x7 wheels with 205/60 Sumitomo tires. Eliminated bumper overriders and added European H4/H1 Hellas. Roberto Catania front badge & wheel centers. Coming soon; dual IDFs, misc. electrical upgrades, new exhaust.

Our Sport Coupe is truly a rare survivor. Owned and maintained for decades by a Fiat enthusiast. New Professional autobody and paint restoration. We have 45 photos of the car. The body and paintwork on this car is terrific. Other than some overspray on the underbody and exhaust, which we will correct immediately, the car looks stunning. At additional cost, we have a restored set of 4 Cromodora painted alloy wheels with as new high performance radials. They are the optional sport coupe wheels. Runs and drives great. Seam separation in lower drivers seat cover |

I bought it in Feb 2004, and am going to slowly restore it (as finances allow). It's painted Ferrari red (so it goes faster). 2-litre Lancia motor (828B10230241551) Twin 40mm DCOE webers, 131 gearbox, LSD diff, 7x13 Fiat chromes running 205/60R13's, Lowered (too low, scrubs inner front tyres), More rust than I'd hoped for, but hey, it'll give me something to do!!

It's the typical French racing blue, and needs a lot of work. But I have since found the original owner and technically I'm the second owner! It was purchased new in Arizona, and has lived in AZ it's entire life, so it has very little rust. Unfortunately it was vandalized as it has sat for the last 20 years outside, so the interior is destroyed, only have one side vent window glass and the rear glass and it's missing a bunch of trim pieces. So I'm gradually collecting parts for it. |

Probably should have been a parts car, but I felt sorry for it, dragged it home, got it running & proceeded to meticulously weld in a new floors all around. Somewhere along the way, the PO (only PO, btw) put an 1800 in it, but otherwise it seems stock. Still lacking a lot to be truly drive-worthy. Future unknown at present.
